She also has a rosary, a bible and a wooden cross with a copper Jesus in her hands. Depicted with a sheep at her side (one of the pilgrim animals )
It is unclear who this woman or saint is, but some names of early Christian female pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela are: St. Birgitta of Sweden, Verdiana (Virginia Margaret del Mazziere), Margery Kempe, Bona de Pisa, Isabel of Portugal.
