Unique set of 2 large 64 cm vintage Oriental ceramic baluster vases/ ginger urns from the Art Deco period, circa 1940
Made in China in the Canton reagion in the famille rose style
Appealing domed lids with Oriental foo dogs figures on top
Oval panels to urn and lids depict classic courtyard scenes of figures in pavilions
Set against a profusely decorated floral ground with insects and butterflies, all in stunning enameled colors in relief
Base replete with red seal maker's mark
Through the large scale of the jars they ar suitable for display on the floor or for a grand statement next to a fireplace or entrance
One jar is in mint condition
Second jar has a large chip which has been glued together but not perfectly. You can see and feel a slight difference on the surface.
One photo from the inside of the jar you can see the broken piece glue line. The last 4 foto's you see the details of the broken line on the outside. From a small distance it is hardly noticeable
