This an early and original vintage adjustable Dazor Model M-270 magnifying lamp (also known as the 'Floating Fixture') from the Dazor Manufacturing Corporation and combines style and functionality at the highest level.
In the last century, this model was widely used by professionals such as watchmakers, draftsmen, and goldsmiths (very popular among Antwerp diamond dealers) due to its sublime mechanism and perfect illumination. Today, it is a rare and sought-after design object that looks stunning in an industrial, vintage, or modern interior.
Heavy, robust cast iron base in Art Deco style ensures the lamp stands firmly on the desk.
The double articulated arms feature a floating spring system and are swivelable, allowing you to easily position the lamp in any direction and at the right angle. The spring system still works perfectly and remains in any desired position.
The original red and black on/off switches are located on top of the shade.
Equipped with a large central magnifying glass to enlarge any detailed work, for precision work or reading. The glass is in perfect condition, with no scratches or damage.
This lamp is in good working order; the arms move smoothly and stably and hold nicely in position.
The original, characteristic bronze/brown metallic paint shows light signs of use in the form of some scratches and spots of paint damage.
The original 250cm long cord.
This lamp has very low power consumption. However, retro-fit LED tubes are also available nowadays that fit exactly into the same socket and fixture, such as the Bailey LED tube T5 212mm.
