Van Praet's vision of seating comfort is clearly evident here, with the backrest and seat divided into two, thus providing both support and flexibility, allowing you to lean back slightly.

This East-West chair was selected by Design Flanders to compete for the Henry Van de Velde Award for Best Product in 2004.

The East-West chair was also called the 'Lommel chair' because it was initially produced for the town hall in Lommel. Frans van Praet has placed them both indoors and on patios, and only a very limited edition was produced.

Folded steel frame, beige lacquered, with a split seat and backrest upholstered in brown fabric.
The chairs are in very good condition. Minimal signs of wear, they look like new.
