Description
This old vintage standing floor lamp is a real eye catcher
The glass is Venetian Murano glass around a gilded rod with brass elements as intermediate pieces
Ornate worked gold brass tripod with eagle claw feet on a ball
This lamp is without a lampshade but by unscrewing the pointed ornament at the top any desired shade can be attached.
Period 1940-1950 Hollywood Regency style
Height to lamp holder is 136.5 cm, height to top is 162 cm
The lamp base has a diameter of 46 cm
A set of 2 similar lamps were also used in the film "Darkest Hour" as you can see on the attached photo with the scene of Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill in which he accepts the appointment as prime minister of King George VI, played by Ben Mendelsohn
