Minimalistic Dutch design 'Lotus' floor lamp designed by Dutch designer Menno Dieperink for Profilight in 1982
Black and grey lacquared steel, 2 round milkglass disks that are upheld by V-shaped bracket, in the middle 2 red cables
The light of the lamps is directed to the ceiling, which results in a soft, diffuse light
The elemental geometric shape and industrial character of this lamp is influenced by the Dutch Postmodernism and the tradition of Rietveld, the German Bauhaus and the Italian Memphis style
This particular floor lamp was originally used by an architect in the Memphis style in a building which has been build in 1988 in the Dutch town of Hoofdplaat.
I still have the original papers from the architect of this lamp by Profilight from 1982 with the original prices, see pictures
Very good vintage condition, all original, works perfect
