Description
A Cosmophon is a specific type of (built-in) gramophone from the Bakelite/wood era, circa 1934-1936.
An old Braun Radio record player, a so-called Cosmophon, 1930s, wooden housing with Bakelite parts.
The Cosmophon was marketed by Braun as 78 rpm decks following the example of the gramophone.
They were primarily manufactured for installation in furniture, but this is a freestanding table model, which is a rare find.
It should be connected to a loudspeaker.
There is a label on the inside with 'BRAUN RADIO'.
On the front it says TSFGGarnier Marmande.
This is a genuine attic find and is in the condition as found; the images are part of the listing.
