Description

Vintage industrial Dazor Model M-270 work/desk lamp/goldsmith lamp with lighting and magnifying glass, ca. 1950 USA design Dazor Manufacturing Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri.

Thanks to the floating fixture system and the heavy base, this lamp swivels in all directions and is easy to aim as desired. A red and black on/off switch are located on top of the lampshade.

The Dazor Floating Fixture was a popular model among Antwerp diamond dealers.  

The iconic Dazor lamp appears in many television shows and famous films because of its distinct mid-century industrial design such as Blade Runner (1982), in the British detective series Endeavour and the Belgian series Rough Diamonds

Heavy, robust cast iron base in Art Deco style, ensuring the lamp stands firmly on the desk.
The double articulated arms feature a floating spring system and swivel, allowing you to easily position the lamp in any direction and at the correct angle. The spring system still works perfectly and remains in any desired position.

This lamp is in good working condition; the arms move smoothly and stably and remain nicely in position. It shows signs of use on the paintwork, including scratches and spots of paint damage.

This lamp has very low power consumption. It contains 3 "miniature TL 6 watt" bulbs, but nowadays retro-fit LED tubes are also available that fit exactly into the same socket and fixture, such as the Bailey LED tube T5 212mm.
