Exceptional old bronze death mask 'memento mori' of an unknown person, life-size
A very nice old greenish patina that only comes from years of exposure to the elements of the weather.
The shape of the moustache of this death mask, the so-called 'toothbrush' was a popular moustache at the beginning of the 20th century. Several film stars, such as Oliver Hardy and Charlie Chaplin had this facial hair. But the most famous person is of course Hitler, swich this mask is quite a lookalike. After the end of WWII this fashion phenomenon quickly declines
