Exceptional detailed  large Antique carved wooden Sculpture Statue San Francesco St. Franciscus Assisi  with his arms open,  around second half of 1800

This magnificent church / monastry sculpture is all hand carved and hand polychrome painted, watch the beautiful details and expression on its face.

This sculpture is provenent from a church in Belgium, Gent ( Flemish )
The carving is solid an all original, some small paint loss but overall in a good condion, only at the back there is a small part of its cape that have signs of woodworm ( see detailed picture)  but that has been treated, one finger is missing a very small chip ( see detailed picture)

This is such a great piece that pictures do not do the artwork justice of the true craftwork.
This would be a great addition to your chapel ore church
