Large Executive Desk in Wenge by Salomonson & Tempelman for AP Orginals POLAK, 1960's

Midcentury Dutch designers and architect Hein Salomonson and Theo Tempelman designed this unique desk for furniture manufacturer AP Polak (also known as the AP Originals label) in the beginning of the 1960s.

This ultra-rare and ultra-cool desk features a heavy steel frame of contrasting chrome steel and blue/grey steel and all the wood elements are executed in a very high quality wenge veneered wood

The top has a beautiful wood grain texture typical of wenge

A very stable and well constructed desk.The contrasting wood with the different steel accents and minimalist, mid-century lines makes this desk a remarkable example of the beginning of modernist Dutch furniture design

Nice quality and considering its age this desk is still in very good condition, minimal traces of age and use.
