Antique burgundy red velvet luxurious chaise longue.

This charming daybed is from the second half of the 19th century.

Richly carved mahogany wooden details on cabriole legs (in the past there where castors underneath this chaise longue, they have been removed in the past but of course they can be put back on again (similar antique style casters can be bought online)

Underneath there are 2 iron bars for reinforcement.  This is original. It is a real sturdy piece

The upholstery has a restauration in the front where the seat and the backrest comes together ( see detailed picture)
